We had an excellent meeting this month with 53 people in attendance on “Getting an A-Grade at the C-Level – How to Sell Your Budget Needs to Upper Management” at HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. As facility professionals, we're good at reacting in emergencies, dealing with difficult people, doing more with less and many other challenges that fly at us daily. However, a key area where programs struggle time and time again is obtaining the necessary resources and funding to successfully manage the facility program.

We were honored to again have as our speaker, Mr. John Rimer, CFM, President of FM360, LLC with nearly 20 years’ facility management experience in a variety of capacities and industries. He uses his breadth of knowledge and diverse expertise to provide a comprehensive perspective to his clients and students. John has implemented and managed facility programs for companies, such as Intel, Microsoft, JP Morgan Chase and Charles Schwab. He has worked in numerous sectors, including corporate campus, high tech, data centers, bio-tech/pharmaceutical, higher education, K-12, healthcare, manufacturing, municipalities, state and federal. John is very active in the facility management community, presenting at numerous conferences throughout the country, including IFMA’s World Workplace and regularly publishing online and in industry journals, such as IFMA’s FMJ and Building Maintenance & Management magazine. John is also an IFMA Qualified Instructor and an approved Building Operator Certification (BOC) Trainer and has taught nearly 100 courses in the last few years across the United States and online
